The Labour Day long weekend unfolded as an exhilarating chapter in the journey of two outstanding Y Bannockburn Pickleballers – Matt and Jason!
Throughout the weekend, Matt and Jason took centre stage at the dynamic Victorian Open Championships 2024 in Werribee.
Their path to glory was paved with grit and determination as they played through the searing heat in four round-robin matches, a gripping semi-final, and a best-of-three sets in the bronze medal match – which they clinched triumphantly.
What makes their achievement even more incredible, is the fact that their pickleball journey began right here with us at the Y Bannockburn just last December!
From their initial encounter with the game to standing tall on the podium, their rapid ascent to success is nothing short of remarkable.
Talk about a rapid rise to success since picking up their first paddle!
